TTC officers, board members, and / or the race directors.

This course consists of mostly single-track, with constant climbs and descents including a few very steep climbs on the Ridge Trail.  There are approximately 3,684 feet of climbing for the 50K. The trail surface includes sand, dirt, grass, rocks, roots, pine straw, small tree stumps, wooden bridges, maybe some mud, lots of leaves, and some asphalt.

Attention 50K runners - There are three checkpoints on the course.  Those that do not arrive at the checkpoints by the cutoff times will not be allowed to continue.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

25K runners will have it a little easier... you must arrive at the South Trailhead (without assistance) before 4:00 p.m. to receive a finisher's shirt.

50K runners will have the option to stop at the 25K finish line if they choose to do so.  Once that runner crosses the 25K finish line, their decision becomes final.

Medical assistance will be provided by the Mount Olive Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Coker Volunteer Fire Dept.

There will be five aid / check-in stations.  They are located at the South Trailhead (Start / Finish), Boat Rescue Points 1, 2, and 3, and the North Trailhead.  Aid stations will have fluids, salty stuff, sweet stuff, and maybe some hot stuff.

Boat Rescue Points will arrange transportation back to the South Trailhead if necessary.
